Osu Days and Nights

Been making major moves so early in the year that I might just have to retire for the rest of 2018 to let the rest of the competition catch up. Of course that’s not our way here, and we’ll be keeping feet on necks for the rest of the year.

In the meantime though, some straight dope from the underground on how to navigate places where you can actually live life to it’s fullest.

Starting with Accra, Ghana.

Osu is the main spot for nightlife, and you’ll find a mix of expats, locals, and other hangers-on out on the town regardless of day or night.

A quick run down of how to make the right moves if you find yourself here:

Hit the Root Apartments and Hotel for a day drink and a good view. The pool area up top opens in the late afternoon. You’ll want to chop it up for a bit in the main restaurant and then make your moves upstairs once things get popping. Small place, but the view is great and you’ll find plenty of people to chat up and do your thing.

Ghana is ganja friendly, so make sure to cop some of that. Just ask around and you can score big for the low.

Chill out in the main area, spark a spliff, make conversation, watch the sunset and wait for the night to turn.

The Shisha Lounge in Osu is a good spot to post up for the dinner time and order some tabac along with your wood-fire pizza. If you are still dry at this point, hit the hotel next door to get whatever you need. Don’t be surprised if you see some cats sparking up in the back area. Like I said, ganja friendly. Keep it to the back cause you don’t want any trouble from the 12, but really it’s a matter of being smart and figuring out who to talk to.

If you’re done with those moves, you can hit Bloom Bar which is a quick jaunt by taxi or foot. Another good rooftop locale where once again you can blaze up without issue.

For nightlife, Firefly will serve you well and keep you occupied until early in the morning with some fly trees and flyer chicks. Notable mention goes to Tea Bar and Blue House.

In Accra there are a lot of working girls especially in Osu because it’s expat Central and girls can make good money there. I was only there for a few days but was running a gambit about my friend in the states who is a working girl but how I like to actually know a chick. Just be chill have some Cali swag mixed with Chocolate City street style and you can clean up without dropping cash.

The girls of Ghana are fine as hell (though there are some other locales in West Africa that I will be dropping soon enough with even better). You’ve got your locals, and also plenty of visitors from the States and England. You’ve got your diaspora chicks who are coming back to get a taste of the homeland. English is all around though the local ones also speak mostly Twi so learn up on some phrases and get an easy in.

Of course melanin is the name of the game, and you’ve got to be down with that. Though there were some fly Arab expats and some white chicks to be had on the down low, no one is trying to mess with that when you’ve got fine sistas turning heads at every corner. Get in your shades and enjoy.

I played the hand laid out above and cleaned up, so bring the heat and you’ll do just fine.

Nightmare on U Street

It’s a crisp fall night and I roll out the subway stop and hit the street sparking up. It’s my favorite time of year in Chocolate City. I’m sharp, the air is sharp I yell out to no one in particular “I’m young and pretty and bout to make a million dollars.”

Dinner at Zaytinya goes smooth. The deal is about to close and the home stretch is in sight. My words from early are prophecy. Another round for the table and then I will hit the night to celebrate on my own.

Pick up the check and chat up the fox posted at the bar.

See off my clientele and light up another to full enjoy the scent of fall. A vision goes by and we exchange some words, something more about the night ahead calls and I crunch her digits for later.

Order a car and head off in to the night.

Hit U Street like a slug to the chest no vest. Make friends in Lost Society. Drinks are cheap and flow fast. Chop it up with some of the folks. Things are working but I need some more action to get in to.

Bounce out and around the corner to Cloak and Dagger. Make my way around. A group with something I like. The feeling is mutual. Some words to friends about this and that. Hitting the usual keys. Hit some other keys with them in the back.

My mouth is flowing gold.

We bounce out and downstairs. Tropicallia has an easy door. Inside it’s hot and the music is blasting. We find a corner and hit bumps as the place steams up.

Things are getting interesting with my girl. We’ve only exchanged a few words all night, but they are choice. I’ve been playing through the group most of the way. I ask her if she wants to break to burn a spliff. She is game.

We hit the night and the air is cool again.

Tokyo Pros and Cons

Pros

Indoor smokes at clubs and a lot of bars.

Fly shopping districts. High-end and low-end. Copped some good stuff for rolling out backdoors in the early morning on the low.

7am close times. Not everywhere, but plenty of stuff to get in to past sunup.

Zen gardens. Self explanatory for when you need a break from trafficking international.

Fresh fish.

Transit system on point.

Curious locals.

Fine mixed chicks when you can find them. Don’t ask where I found them because I won’t be telling.

Fine locals.

Style and swag. Stole enough ideas to last me through the winter here stateside. Street and business too. The suits the worker drones rock are all good except they’re universally missing a square to round things out. Easy fix. Pinstripes are coming in to my winter wardrobe for sure.

Working girls. Check.

Cons

Can’t think of any.

There was Bad English all around. Which I’m fine with, my Japanese is worse. I’m a quick learner though so I picked up a few phrases. You don’t need any language skills to chop it up if you know what you’re doing.

Look for Tokyo to be back in the headlines soon enough.

Atlanta Dead Days

A while back I dropped the ATL Step by Step, which gave you the undoctored dope on a basic night out in the A.

After some more time spent in the City in the Trees (talking both senses of the word), you’re going to want to avoid some nights.

Namely, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Monday, you’ve always got Magic City to fall back on. I’ve been preferring the more low key nights at that joint but you can’t go wrong with that move.

Thursday, you’ve got any of a dozen places popping off and some can get some light work at any dinner spot you’ve got locked before hitting heavier bags out in any district.

Friday and Saturday, same shit just another day. Same spots will pop off just with more cats. Get in with a few promos and staff to skip lines. If you’ve been playing in the Big Leagues then working a door in ATL will be of no issue.

Sunday, after hours spots outside the beltway do nice in the late night.

Basically you can go out any night except Tuesday or Wednesday. Both of those nights are mad wack as far as nightlife is concerned. A few places try to open and get a total of 4 people.

Luckily there is a house party and underground scene that low key goes off during the down days, so you can hold yourself over with that.

The good news for the dead days is that if you’re running a few plays, you can set up a dinner and not expect to run in to anyone checking for you.

Otherwise Tuesday, it’s better to order in and have the off duty you found enjoying the installation last week at Opera come through to give you a back rub.

Wednesday, hit up the home girl you ran in to at Ponce City and grab some dinner close to her spot.

Paris? C’Est Nul

Definitely do no go to Paris.

It’s probably one of the final places left that you can let yourself go. Let those feral parts out of yourself to explore something that is outside of your usual norms and the usual shackles that you wear voluntarily.

The city has always been like this. The Great American Fredrick Douglas went their to applause and packed venues, even as he would have hung in his home town.

Because of that, Paris gets it’s share of hate from AmeriKKKa. Really, all this, just a confirmation that staying out of the mainstream is where it’s at.

If you’re actually looking to tear up the city then just follow along.

Logistics

It starts at the airport, where if you’re coming in you’ll most like hit at CDG 2nd Terminal. Customs is easy and smooth with the Passport of your choice. It’s terrible cause you might actually want to say Bonjour to the cat at the border.

Helps to have a Paris made custom carry-on so you can skip all that baggage, so you can breeze through to the RER B and hop that to the city. If you’re smart you’ll cop a NaviGo from the ticket booth before you catch the train. It’s 25 euro for a week, and a bit more for a month for Zone 1-5. That will get you anywhere in Paris and the surrounding Banlieue.

Paris airport logistics mean that 30 minutes later you’ll land at Châtelet. The metro from there can take you anywhere in the city in less than 20 minutes. There are 20 Arrondissements in Paris. They go out in a spiral from the center of the city.

Easy logistics like this aren’t normal, and when you’re coming from a country that can’t even build a basic rail line that works it may just blow your mind a bit.

I prefer to stay in the 9eme or the 18eme, in Montmartre. It is well located in the city, and close to the spots to go out and the spots to see things. It’s got a small town feel and outside of the few tourist areas it is regular Paris speed, which means a unique blend of slow and fast life, high and low end.

For getting around you’re going to want to use your NaviGo to catch the Metro, so get to know your local stop and how to get where you’re going from there. Paris is super walkable, which is why it pays to post up in a solid hood. For the most part I’m able to get all the things I need, carnal or otherwise, a few short minutes from my door and without hopping on the metro. Late night, catch a car cause the metro is going to be closed, which is once again why it pays to have solid logistics.

Going Out

Paris has all the scenes you might want, and of course I was pitching my usual High-End blasting Low-End Theory moves, which were putting me at a lot of spots in the 18th, the 11th, and the Latin Quarter. I made good headway off a few spots around the Seine. If you’re looking for an early dinner, then don’t bother coming to Paris because it will not be your speed. There is none of the wack 6pm fare sub-par here. A lot of spots will be closed at that time. Crazy? Nah it’s just how things should actually work. You need the chef to prepare and the kitchen staff to be ready for your entrance. It’s not unusual to be starting out the night at 9, and kicking it at a big table with your crew until midnight before even starting in on the first course.

If you’re looking for a high-end spot then there are plenty to find, but avoid the Brasserie or Bistro on your local corner, which is basically just the hangout for locals. You want something that looks more like a hole in the wall that is packed with dresses and suits by 10pm.

It’s trivial to find this kind of spot in Paris, and it may be the city with the most high-end restaurants per square mile.

After dinner, you’re liable to be kicking it around chain-smoking out on the rooftop, but eventually you’ll figure out one of a few things to do.

There are a lot of kickback type joints going around, where you can lounge out, listen to tunes and smoke grits with the fly Parisian crowd. There are your typical club where all the tourists end up and you’ve got Top 40 hits. There’s underground spots where you’ll find cats pumping out beats and popping pills. If you’re connected, you can link up with a local group and there’s always people throwing parties at their flats and then making moves later in the night.

You need stamina to roll out in Paris because the night does not start for real until after 2 and you’ll keep going until the metro starts again in the morning.

This is another reason why Paris is not for the weak and can often steamroll cats who are not coming prepped and ready.

A lot of the up and coming places are over in the 11th by Bastille and around the Canal St. Martin, so go check that area out if you roll through. The Latin Quarter is also good for the lower key vibe and you’ll find a bunch of college aid kids out smoking until late in the bars and restos in that area. If you’re trying to hit up tourists in the mega-club scene (word of advice is that this is a huge waste of a Paris trip), then hit St. Michel or Le Champs and ask around. There’s plenty to do off those streets, but you might as well have stayed just hit Vegas if you were looking for cheap American plastic surgery.

Substances

Paris is a cosmopolitan city, and the youth are down with the culture, so there is plenty to be had. All stripes can get it in, just ask around and don’t be shady about it. Cats are usually throwing out around the main clubs. I’m not a huge fan of Paris tree, but throwing it in a spliff is the main way of partaking there so I don’t complain. I got my hands on some dope pops though that kept me up for three nights straight without issue, and that was definitely a good time, so don’t be afraid to partake.

Things to do

Way too much to name, obviously if it’s your first time no one is going to look down on you doing all the regular tourist shit. But if you’re trying to get in to the actual scene then make sure to check out the arts district, a Marché Aux Puces, and a few museums. Hit up some daytime activities around the Seine or the Canal (see a theme here), where you can pretty much lounge out in the sun and hit on any fly chick that is walking by with the offer of some of your spliff or a drink. Of course you’re going to chop it up and offer more. There’s really nothing wrong with posting up in the beautiful parks and kicking it and watching life go by. Paris also has a long history of just bumming around seeing the sights, what they call being a Flaneur, so that too is something worth exploring.

Girls

Les Femmes in Paris are some of the flyest in the world, bar none. You’ll see a lot of fly dressing types and it looks like you stepped out in to a Fashion Week every time you are out on the metro. There’s none of that bummy looking stuff that plays well in Middle-America. Here, the chicks dress to impress and know how to keep themselves wrapped up to the 9s in the latest style. That means sun-dresses, rompers and heels in the summer, and fly coats and jackets in the winter.

French girls also have a look to them and I’m the type to fall in love about five times a minute there. There is a big portion of first-generation French as well, so you’ve got your West African, North African, and East Asian contingents well represented.

Really no need to be shy, speaking up about being on a short trip is enough to cop some digits and set up some other time to meet. Hitting it off with a light drink, transitioning to dinner and then seeing where the night takes you two is the easy move and really it doesn’t need to get much more complicated.

Girls speak English, but really you’re going to want French because it’s a beautiful language and you’re going to miss a lot of the fun of kicking it with a French girl without spitting in her Langue Maternelle.

French guys tend to be fine setting you up with their friends if you seem like a chill dude who can hang, and they tend to spit hot fire at chicks in general. There is a big divide between the regular French guy who can pull, and the dumpy French dude who is hanging on with a group of girls but can’t make a move, so scope which is which and get in with the right group.

Typical French groups are mixed, so you need some maneuvering skills, but once you’re in, you’re in for good and you’ve got a line on whatever else the group is doing the rest of the night and probably the rest of the month.

Chicks don’t really have too much hang up around their sexuality, and know how to use it, and respect you for not acting like you don’t know that she’s attractive and that you both want it. They will test the fuck out of you to make sure, but those are all easy when you actually have the goods.

All that said, what’s a typical rundown look like for a day in the city of lights?

You roll out late morning to catch an espresso at the local cafe and hit up some business deals real quick before stowing your phone the rest of the day.

Go and cop some new suit fabric in the 7th and chop it up with the Tailor who is going to take in a few loose items for you before an important meeting later in the week.

Walk down to the Seine to people watch a bit, and smoke grits out by the water. Cop a few numbers from a group of French girls that are out after work and make plans to meet up later in the night.

Hit dinner with an associate and pull two other fine girls posted up at dinner to your table for a good time and wine pouring in abundance. Have one of the girls from earlier fall through to the spot so it’s a merry party. She’s got some friends who are throwing a kickback in the 18th, so you all head that way.

Chill and smoke and drink and party with your new friends, and make some moves on one of the other cute things that is trying to act uninterested at the spot.

Roll out to a club on the water with the crew, and try to decide between the two girls that are all feeling you and all fine with which ever you choose. Choose one (or both) and make those moves back to your spot as the sun is coming up.

Really Paris is the blueprint for the kind of interaction where you hook early and enjoy the rest of the long night with a fine girl that knows how to move and knows how to make you want her.

ATL Step By Step

Have been getting that flight itch, so went ahead and pulled the trigger on a few days in the A.

One of the spots I love to kick it for a long week, throw back some Southern Bourbon, smoke grits, and cap Fine Black girls With Southern Accents.

Here’s a quick single-day blueprint for getting in some solid action.

1. Get in some laps during the early afternoon

Could be Lennox, or Phipps, or Atlantic Station, or Little Five Points, or just kicking it on Emory’s campus. Bust out some laps in a good location and crunch numbers for later. I’ve been partial to hitting Buckhead for this and coping something from the Canali store. The plus there is you can hit on the fly floor girl and also pick up some fresh threads for the collection.

2. Set up a few dinner slots

Underrated move that plays extra well in a Southern Town like ATL, is having a few slots for dinner. So you have your early dinners with a few girls and the homie where you may throw back 2 or 3 Bourbon Rocks and some Light Fare. Then you hit the next spot on the solo tip and grab a mid-meal. Then catch one of your leads for dessert down the street. I usually run this in Midtown for easy next steps. A good run for this kind of thing is hitting the bar at Marcel.

3. Make the transition

Lots of good lounges in Atlanta. Grab up some and throw back a few more drinks. Preferably in the company of some fly chicks that you either pulled from dinner or that you number chopped earlier. You’re still early in the night so make some moves, but leave your options open. If you want to get in a quick cap before you hit the main events, pull a chick back from a lounge in Midtown to your spot for a quick session. For example, hit Little Trouble followed by Halo or Sivas.

4. Night sprints

So you’ve been busting it out at the lounge and people are starting to fill in. You’re going to want to make some decisions. If you’re like me, you’ve burned down the spot you are at and it’s time to bounce. I’m partial to hitting another lounge or two in Midtown, but there are also some fly upscale clubs in the A. Take your pick and figure out a set up that works for you. I’m on the kick back with a grit and a drink these days, so been bouncing out clubs with a few chicks to more calm scenarios where I can chop it one on one. There are a thousand spots to hit the late night tip in ATL. You can figure that one out for yourself based on your style. I’ve had good times at a bunch of the spots in the city. Midtown is good for stuff. Buckhead is good for stuff. Find a power center with a few joints to get in to and hit that. Just don’t go to Opera with everyone else who can’t find a better venue.

5. Finish strong

While everyone else is dropping off, you can make some final night moves. Great place to end up is at any of the A’s popping Gentleman’s Clubs. ATL is known for this particular fare, so make sure to hit it up. Magic City, is always a go to, but there are plenty. I try and get to a new one every time I’m in the city, but always return to the staples.

All of those hard moves should get you some good prospects. Close out hard and make sure to follow up on your leads. Atlanta is heavy with social scene, but light on Cats With Game, so if you roll heavy and follow the above to the Letter you shouldn’t have any issues.

Bay Area Blueprint

So I’ve pretty much burned the bay down and I’ll be out to new places so going to drop the 100% pure straight dope on THE BAY AREA over here for your pleasure and enjoyment.

So what are we working with here. Below is the best sheet on how to rock THE BAY without issue. Only other thing you will need is GAME.

San Francisco aka THE CITY

If you’re rolling high end then you’ve got a lot of places to choose from here. There is a very very good high end scene with plenty of places to go out and cap on chicks as well as places to eat and drink. There area few centers of activity that will do you well.

Press Club

Straight dope. This is where I typically operate from both to cap and to bring chicks to bounce around for the rest of the night. The layout makes it easy to circulate and run like three or four groups at a time. They only have wine and beer. There are three really solid restaurants right next door.

I’ve done a bunch of bouncing between all three with and without chicks and is just such a straightforward venue swap that it makes it easy for you.

Weekend crowd here is nice as well and they’ve got a good deal on bottles Saturday before 6.

82 Proof

This is dipping out of the straight high end a bit, but still a solid place to roll to as long as it’s in the “happy hour” times. This is like the Salesforce bar, swear I meet three new people from Salesforce every time I go there.

The View

Did this with a chick and it was pretty wack. Not my scene.

RN74

Do this with a chick if you’ve got the cash and you know your wine You can run a few courses and a bottle or two. Bone marrow dish they had here was fire

Local Edition

Down the stairs “speakeasy” type place. The layout is kind of weak but there is usually a solid crowd here. Small location so easy to burn this place down and then bounce. It’s a good jump off location to or from Press Club.

Ginto Izakaya

Solid sushi and grill if you’re in to that.

Pabu Izakaya

Higher end version of Ginto.

Aquitaine

RN74 is better, but this is still a solid french spot. There are a lot of french tourists in the city.

Perbacco

Solid for italian on the higher end.

Ozumo

Off the Embarcadero. I tend to like the Izakayas more.

Boulevard

Come here with clients all the time. Drop mad cash. Never ran this place with a chick cause it’s a bit isolated from my usual second locations.

All of those spots will give you some good stuff to work with, especially on the higher end side.

If you want other high end stuff to do then you’ll want to hit the Marina though the Marina is kind of fake high end. You can roll through Stock in Trade, A16, Belga.

If you want frat style stuff then hit the Marina on a later week night or weekend night and run Union St and Chestnut St.

Pac Heights is solid for upscale spots. You can hit Filmore St between Washington and Geary for a good strip. SPQR is dope and so is Palmer’s.

There’s also some solid upscale by the ballpark. Saison is super super dope, Alchemist is chill, Twenty Five Lusk is decent. District is also a good spot I’ve got on major lock both the city location and the Oakland one. There are a few other places to hit between 4th and 2nd, on either King or Townsend. If there is a game then it’s always cracking down there and you can bounce around and get in to it.

More high end stuff in the Richmond and Sunset districts. Going to want to run Judah close to the beach in the Sunset and Geary in The Richmond (not to be confused with Richmond the city in the east bay).

I tend to stay around downtown cause these days I’m in the city for work and then kicking it with clients or in a fit or I’m out at one of my usual spots with a ting. I will always be running custom threads

San Francisco is not really a suit city at all, so rocking one makes you stand out everywhere. I’ve probably made back the cost of my custom fits just cause of the extra clout that rocking it will give in the higher end spots of the city.

If I’m really trying to go out and pick up then it’s usually at a restaurant or hotel bar or one of the lounges.

If you’re going to flip it and hit the low end stuff then you’re going to want to go to completely different spots.

Hit Polk St. for straight hopping between spots. Basically a major strip of bars and other spots. This place is packed on the weekends but you can pull from off the street without issue and just pick off chicks that are roaming the street. I’ve tried running the same thing during the week and it’s a bit slower but still have people out. You can run from Geary almost to Lombard and have a spot every other storefront.

Vertigo

This is like a “dive club.” Basic bar layout with dance floor. Plus is the smoking room. Small spot but packed on good nights and easy to pull from here.

Upcider

Upstairs next to Vertigo. Cider house. You can start here if you’re with a chick. It’s got a dope view of the street below so you can scope what’s happening out and when things are picking up.

Hemlock

Not my favorite place. Across the street from Vertigo

Lush

Hit this place up if things are cracking on the rest of the street.

Mayes

Big ass sign. Usually popping off like midnight to last call later in the week and weekends. You can seriously pull out of here. There are also a bunch of other guys doing pickup here on a typical weekend. If you know what to look for you’ll see it. Some solid cats that run this place. There’s probably a cover if it’s good, but the key move is to lock down one of the bouncers earlier in the week and then hit that place up for free later on. It will probably be dead until like 11 so don’t come before then.

Playland

This place is solid. If there is music going on then you’ve got to finese a bit.

Kozy Kar

This place is weird. I usually end up cause I’m trying to cop some food down the street.

Harper and Rye

Solid spot but pretty far up the street from the main action.

I like Polk St. depending on what I’m feeling but really The Mission is more my style. My favorite spot in the city is actually in the Mission. Basically everything worth going to is between 16th and 24th on either Mission or Valencia. You can do laps on these streets and run street game or just pop in to spots.

Bissap Baobab

West African spot that also does Salsa on some days and other dance stuff in general. You can run a whole night at this place. Is a restuaruant until 10 then they pick up all the tables and open out the dance floor. Live music often during the week. This is the place to come to dance.

Beauty Bar

Next door to Bissap. Small spot but good layout for chopping it up. Dance floor in back and then long and narrow on the way there by the bar. Basically post up at the spill out to the floor and chop it up then pull a chick to dance. Pulled from here often.

Elbo Room

Really solid spot. Can pull from here too.

Delirium

Ok spot.

Slate

Better than Delerium but still just ok.

Bruno’s

Really solid depending on who is playing that night.

Grab food early at pretty much any spot with a bar and then bounce out to go dance. I go to The Mission to dance and pull chicks.

Some places I don’t really hang out. The Castro which is the gay district. Has some solid restaurants and bars. Noe Vally. I keep meaning to check this out but I’ve got my usual haunts already in the city and it’s far out. North Beach also has stuff going on. Somehow I end up back there at the end of a night a lot because of either the food or a chick that lives in the area as there are a lot of younger professionals there.

The city doesn’t have much in the way of gentleman’s clubs. All the ones there are around Broadway, but for the most part I’ve found them pretty wack if you’re used to going to them in bigger cities.

If you want to hit bigger clubs then San Francisco isn’t really your city but they’ve got some solid ones. Check out Temple, Bootie, Pura, Monarch, Mezzanine, or Grand. Infusion tends to play hip hop stuff, but otherwise you should expect top 40 and house type music and the comparable chicks. You should check to see who is playing and what’s going on cause depending on the spot and who is there the crowds will be really different. I tend not to hit the bigger clubs in the city cause if it doesn’t compare to a Vegas or Miami or even a Los Angeles.

The lower end venues that aren’t trying to be a mega club have always treated me better than big spots, but it depends on what your scene is really. There is also a big raver scene but that stuff changes up almost weekly so you should look for a group that is in that kind of stuff and then tag on with them or get info. EPR is an 18+ mini rave thing that happens in the city during the week, and I’ve hit that up a few times and pulled some.

If you’re trying to do stuff during the day then you can hit the streets and there will be a lot of people out, especially in the bigger districts. Hit Union Square, the Haight, Golden Gate Park (down by the bridge and the water), the Presidio (Chrissy Field), Dolores Park, the Embarcadero and the Ferry Building, or pretty much just bounce around the city and you can chat people up on the street. People in the city are pretty friendly and there are a lot of tourists so it’s easy enough to make conversation. Stay away from the tourist traps and you’ll be fine.

Oakland aka THE TOWN

East Bay side is more chill and generally laid back and I usually stay over on this side. There’s still a really good mix of high end and low end spots. Stuff is way more central than in the city and you can operate around a few key areas.

Generally Oakland is going to be cheaper and more laid back than the city and you’re going to find chicks that are in to different things. A lot of the folks from East Bay suburbs come to Oakland on the weekends and late weeknights so just check in for logistics.

Girls from the city don’t end up here, so I’ve made good plays in location arbitrage by pulling girls from the city in to Oakland early in the night. BART shuts down early so you can use that to your favor.

Telegraph is the main street you’re going to want to run on if you’re trying to go out.

Make Westing

Really solid. Good layout, sizable venue and close to all the other stuff going on. I will post out on the street with a grit and chop it up with people going by and basically hold court that way.

Drexl

Off the main strip a bit but still decent place. It’s empty at weird times when the rest of Oakland is popping off which is something I never got.

Bar 355

Ok spot.

Dogwood

Decent spot.

Somar

Billed as a bar but they’ve got good music and run more hip hop stuff depending on the night. Pulled from her often. Cover is annoying for the venue but get in with the bouncers and skip that shit.

Liege

Down off Broadway. Depends on the night.

Era

This spot is just ok to me. Down further than my usual locales.

District

Better than the one in the city in my opinion. Locked down heavy here. Perfect set up for working a room if you want to do that. Gets packed with mid aged black chicks late on weeknights and weekends.

Desco

Across the street from District. Also locked down heavy. Good for dinner before hitting a night out.

Bissap Baobab

Same deal as the one in the city.

Parliament

I think they run drugs out this place cause it’s never open except for events and they are always remodeling. Been in here like twice.

There’s some more stuff up Telegraph in Uptown and further up around 48th.

If you’re trying to hit upscale for food then Telegraph will do you well too.

Pecan

Dope joint with great whiskey.

Duende

Music here is often very good.

Tamarindo

Solid mexican spot with good Tequila and Mezcal.

You can hit Jack London Square which has some dope stuff. Take a look at any of the restaurants down there, or Yoshi’s if you’re trying to do some music.

You can also hit over by the lake which has some really good stuff going on.

Lake Chalet

I avoid this place but always end up here for events.

Camino

Good for running day twos.

Commis

Not really my scene.

Shakewell

Another solid spot.

Michel

Solid French spot.

A Cote

Another solid french spot.

You’re going to want to center yourself around downtown or the west side of the lake. Try and get near a BART stop so you’re mobile in to the city without too much hassle.

There is shit ton to do in Oakland but you’ve got to get in to the scene a bit. Hit the farmer’s market by the lake on the weekends or just chill out there and chop it up with people and they’ll let you know what is going on that week. Cats over here are super friendly and probably smoking it up so run accordingly.

Berkeley is also something you should hit as there are some fine chicks on campus there and it’s a legit college town so you can make connections quick and then bounce out. I go to the gym up there so I’m always hitting up chicks when they are out and about during the week.

Check the centers around Telegraph next to campus or on Shattuck on the other side of campus. Obviously go with the more college centered style though there are some good high end restaurants up there I’m usually dressed down. Tripple Rock has a good crowd usually. Pappy’s and Henry’s are solid for sports and hitting up grad school girls, but if you’re really trying to run stuff just throw on a Berkeley shirt and hit up the tailgate on a game day during football season. The whole area pops off and you can run street game no issues.

On the topic of events make sure you hit some of the big ones if you can including First Fridays in Oakland which is a huge block party and Telegraph area by Make Westing and the other spots I mentioned turns in to a cracking party. Definitely recommend that. First Friday of the month, each month. There’s also always stuff going on in the city so look around or ask around and you will find shit.

Other cities in the Bay

Shit goes on and on. Basically you’ve got South bay with San Jose and the rest of Silicon Valley. Stanford is down there, etc. Mostly do this if you’re doing business as the spots down there are pretty wack unless you want to drop mad mad cash.

North bay is ok too. Lots of good high end places in Marin and other parts across the Golden Gate bridge, but logistics here are a nightmare.

Richmond is good cause of the Track and the Casino. Hit that if you’re around.

Don’t worry about East Oakland or the eastern suburbs. Nothing going on there.

General Notes on the Girls in the Bay

On the chick front if you’re running the usual good looking international playboy stuff then you will go far in the Bay. The competition here is generally week and doesn’t know how to dress and questionably yag so just having a bit of Game can get you in with most chicks here.

There are a lot of different scenes and the girls really don’t mix so you can run in opposite circles with few issues.

I am out a lot and girls are generally receptive to just chatting it up and I’m regularly blowing guys out and capping on their groups with little push back.

I run a lot in my usual spots and just cop numbers and run day twos. If I’m really trying to pull then I will hit one of the bigger joints on a big day and burn the place down then bounce right out to the spot next door. Work a whole street or area like that, and the Bay is made for those scenarios cause stuff is all clustered in specific areas.

There is pretty much every kind of girl in the Bay if you know where to go and what scene to jump in to. Lots of foreign chicks and Asians. Lots of raver girls and girls with tattoos and gauges. People tend to complain that there are a lot of liberal chicks here, but for the most part I’ve found that to mean more “tongue piercing and freak in bed” than “social justice warrior.”

There is a lot of general weak stuff here but that just makes it easier to stand out.

I’ve had a lot of success here and generally find that it’s easy to pull if you’ve got Game and you know where to go to get to a critical mass.

There are some really fine girls out and about and chopping it up during the day is actually a great way to pull some higher quality. Hang around the higher end scene for a while and you’ll run in to some seriously fine girls.

The colleges are also solid, Berkeley being my favorite but USF, UCSF, and SF State all have solid campuses where you can chop it up with chicks that are out and about during the day.

You’ll want to find some solid day twos and I’ve been doing a lot more of the slow burn recently cause I’ve got too much stuff on my schedule. You do not need to hit a restaurant for a day two at all. The great thing about the bay is that there is a ton to do without dropping cash just tell her “oh let’s bounce over by the lake and get some tacos” or “let’s run around downtown” and you can play it by ear if you know where there is stuff going on.

Generally I think that the Bay pays mad dividends for the player type both cause of the great scene overall with food and events and girls but also cause the business scene her is second only to New York in the US. Lots of new stuff obviously with all the tech land things but also lots of the major players in Finance and other big money industries.
